This week’s recipes: Summer Squash

What do we do with Magda Squash?

This squash is a great flavour absorber, it’s also a nearly perfect food according to the Total Nutritional Quality Index. What we like to do with it is make Hot Squash Sandwich’s for lunch by sautéing the squash in a little oil in a fry pan along with a strong flavred spice (Montreal steak etc.) It dosent take much spice to flaver the whole dish and it taste great on toasted bread.

We would also like to take this time to remind those of you that haven’t to you to visit your farm, and thank those of you who made the journey out to Nolalu in the last few weeks. You have all made an investment in it this year, as such we would like to have you come and see what we are doing for you as the season goes on.

Thanks see you next week!

Hi Beano and April!

April, here's the link for the veggie box recipe site: http://www.vegbox-recipes.co.uk/recipes/recipes-index.php

Lana (my mother-in-law) found it near the beginning of the season. We tried out a lot of the spinach recipes using the spinach and swiss chard at the beginning of the summer...so good (especially the broccoli and kale stir fry)!

Anyway, thanks for all the hard work guys! I'm enjoying the fresh veggies so much! I appreciate it!
